Tier 2 Priority Postal service allows skilled migrant workers that are present in the United Kingdom to apply for a 10-working day priority postal visa application. From the date, we post the visa application to the Home Office, the Home Office aims to process your application within 10 working days.

We can confirm the 10 days is very accurate, so if you need to switch into tier - 2 or change employers and you need to start a new job urgently, this visa route is perfect to apply for. It typically costs £300.00 more over standard postal routes which takes on average 8 weeks to process.

The aim behind the Priority Postal service is to considerably cut the waiting times that have typically been a feature of the Home Office's regular Postal service. Priority postal applications should be decided within 10 working days from receipt of the application. This time frame represents a vast improvement on regular postal applications.

Who can apply for a Tier 2 Priority Service?

If you meet the guidelines to apply under tier 2, you can use the service for the following visas:

  • Tier 2 General
  • Tier 2 Intra-company Transfer
  • Tier 2 Minister of Religion
  • Tier 2 Sportsperson

Our firm has been registered by the UKBA for a Tier 2 Postal Premium Service. Whether you are extending your current Tier 2 visa, switching from another visa category or changing your employer, it is simple, we will send your application to UKBA Tier 2 Priority Team the same day you instruct us and you will get your visa approval in 10 working days.

Can my family join me on this visa?

Yes, they can if they are already in the UK on a valid visa. When you apply for your tier 2 priority postal slot, you must add each family member to the application form. If the Home Office approves your priority application you must add your family members to your visa application.

How do I go about securing a priority application?

We have to request a priority slot from the Home Office.

Note: Only 30 applications can be approved per day (Mon-Fri). To secure your priority slot contact us today on 0207 096 1515.

This premium postal service is cheaper, quicker, efficient and more importantly, guaranteed service provided by Home Office, where they will make the decision on your application within 10 working days. The Home Office Priority Postal Service will consider Tier 2 applications in a much shorter timeframe than the standard postal route; from application to decision within ten working days.

Stage 1: Booking Tier 2 Postal Priority Appointment

Once you instruct us we will send a written request to the UKBA in your name to get a confirmation for using this Tier 2 Premium service. Normally we can send the request during weekdays between 8:30 - 17:00 and we receive the confirmation of Tier 2 Visa Postal Premium service the same day.

Stage 2: Making Tier 2 application online

Once we secure an approval for your Tier 2 application, your application must be made within 24 hours on line.

If, for any reason, (for example if you have lived in Northern Ireland where further checks are carried out) the UKBA are unable to process the application within the ten-working days timescale UKBA will contact us to advise of any delays.

Once we have completed the online application, you will need to make an online payment.

A payment notification number (PNN) will be generated by World Pay, which we send to the UKBA via email with your Tier 2 Application.

Stage 3: Sending the supporting documents

We will send your supporting documents by registered post or courier to the address provided by Home Office. We will send your dependants’ documents in the same envelope if you want them to be considered at the same time.

Stage 4: Biometrics Enrolment

You’ll need to have your fingerprints and photograph (known as ‘biometric information’) taken at a Post Office as part of your application - this will cost £19.20.

You and any dependants must do this within 2 working days of receiving the biometric notification letter. You’ll receive the letter after your application is accepted onto the priority application scheme, you’ve paid the fee and sent your application.

Stage 5: Tier 2 Visa Application - Grant of Visa

Once the application has been approved, UKBA will return your documents by special delivery to us. We aim to send these documents to you via Special Recorded Delivery on the same day.
