We can assist you with your NTL (No Time Limit) application if your passport containing an ILE (Indefinite Leave to Enter), ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) or NTL endorsement has been lost, stolen or has expired. NTL (No Time Limit) is a process by which a person with indefinite leave to enter (ILE) or indefinite leave to remain (ILR) can apply for confirmation of this status on a BRP. As a result of the NTL application, the UKBA will issue the new Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) on a biometric residence permit usually known as BRP card.

A person may apply for NTL where:

  • their passport containing an ILE, ILR or NTL endorsement has been lost, stolen or has expired
  • they have settled status in the UK but they do not have any documentary evidence confirming this
  • they have legitimately changed their identity since being granted indefinite leave and want this confirmedon a BRP.

Persons eligible to apply:

In order to qualify for an NTL BRP, the applicant must:

  • have indefinite leave to enter (ILE) or indefinite leave to remain (ILR) in the UK
  • have not lost their ILE or ILR (for example by being absent from the UK for a continuous period of 2 years or more since ILE/ILR was granted)
  • continue to be entitled to ILE or ILR (for example the ILE/ILR has not been or will not be revoked)
  • apply from within the UK using an NTL application form

24 hour super priority service is available for NTL (No Time Limit) applications. This services giving you the opportunity to get a decision on the application within 24 hours.

If you have been naturalised as a British citizen since being given permission to settle in the UK, you should not apply for an NTL stamp - as a naturalised citizen, you have the right of abode in the UK and are no longer subject to immigration control. If you have also kept your other nationality and you want your British status to be confirmed in that passport, you should apply for a certificate of entitlement to right of abode.

We are experts in dealing with NTL applications. We will take detailed instructions from you and advise you about the immigration law and procedure, which is adopted by the Home office (UKBA).
